What can parents/carers expect for their child?

Our preschool aims to offer education, interaction, stimulation, and learning in a homely and welcoming environment to all our children. We seek for children to build life-long skills to encourage learning in a relaxed way that benefits them as individuals

We always celebrate positive behaviour, sharing experiences with others and learning how to empathise as well as gaining awareness of boundaries for behaviours in our setting and the wider world. Our children learn to share, how to be kind and co-operate with others with the aim to build self-confidence and a sense of self-worth throughout their time with us.

The fundamental ethos and intention of Courtyard as a preschool is to provide a calm environment where children can quickly feel safe and want to explore, play, and learn. We have a large number of resources set up in both inside and outside in our enclosed garden space and there are a wide range of activities and activity areas planned and set up each day.

We formally track our children’s development on a termly basis  with daily observations taking place to ensure we are supporting individual children as effectively as possible. All our progress checks are based on the Department of Education Early Years Foundation standards.
